The Bride Story – Anu Melville & Jack Saxe , Madison , WI

indian bridal custom lehenga gown

Every bride we work with is special to us and our anxiety, if not equal, is paramount to her as we understand that one of the most important part of the special day is how she has envisioned her look from the day she was a little girl.

For the most important day of her life, the outfit should speak exactly who you are and that is the unmitigated motivation we came into existence. Dilli Darzi is one of a kind Bridal Designer Studio based in Aurora, IL and serving clients all over the country. We have the most wonderful clients we have worked with outside the state , who we never ever met personally but our model is designed to work on every single detail you can think of from anywhere in the world . We have been lucky enough to make a positive and happy contribution to so many of our brides.

Today I am starting this series called ‘The Bride Story’ to share the journey of our brides with you.

Our Bride of the day is Anu Melville . Her family is based in Chicago and the wedding was planned in Madison, WI.  How we met – We were at one of the Bridal expos in Chicago and out of many brides that stop by at our booth, she was one of them too. She reached out to me right after the expo to discuss her vision.

It is always great to work with brides who have a vision in mind and Anu was definitely one of those. She had very rich ideas of how she wanted the outfits to look, the color scheme and the entire look for her wedding. She was looking for a culmination of different ideas from a bunch of styles she had seen for her wedding gown. Our phenomenal Designer Tarishi has never failed me, she came up with sketches that were the melting pot of all the ideas.

Gorgeous Anu was looking to create a white gown inspired by chicken/thread embroidery embellished with sequins and beads to give it the right amount of bling for an afternoon wedding planned in the outdoors. She also wanted to coordinate her Fiancé’s look with a sleek Teal Suit and an edgy Black Lapel on the collars. She also had very specific ideas for her 7 Bridesmaids – sparkly Teal blue sari with just the right amount of glitter and matching raw silk vests for the Groomsmen.

Sure enough – We pulled the majestic look through by taking care of each detail carefully. I have heard of many brides and their families flying back to India for the wedding outfits – If I fathom, I always feel they end up spending at least 3k in tickets, the stay, the hassle you go through streaming through packed shopping places and probably picking up outfits that are highly overpriced OR if you decide to go custom, ending up with a bad fitting when you are back here and no body to follow up with. The dearth of high end designer outfits for weddings is paramount here and I feel all the Indian weddings planned here have inevitably a trip planned to India for what? We came into play to fill this gap.  You don’t have to go all the way to India for bringing your vision alive nor do you have to pick any outfit off the rack which does not have your signature. Each of our brides is extremely special to us and we treat every detail with a lot of attention and that is when a wedding vision like this comes alive.
